Hi guys.
I discovered this forum quite recently, and I must congratulate you all on your bravery and kindness in sharing both stories, pictures and tips. I'm Scandinavian and 27 years old, by the way, so excuse me if my English is confusing.
In my childhood I was a bit owerweight, but when I hit (a late) puberty at 15, I grew out of my chubbiness and was slim and tall for some years, with just minimal sign of gyne.
But, by the time I finished high school I started developing breasts. Lifting weights didn't help, and gaining some weight also made it look worse. Two years ago I gained significant weight, rose from 181 lbs to 205 lbs in five months. I have since slimmed down, weighing just 167 lbs now. Still my gyno was bigger than ever. I grew tired, concluded that I'd never be able to rid myself of it though excercise, and got the surgery done.
I had surgery five days ago, and have had minimal pain sice. Only some bruising and numbness. As far as I can tell from glimpsing under the vest, my chest looks fairly good, and given that the swelling will reside in time, I'm optimistic as to being satisfied with the final result.
STILL; I'm almost bursting with these questions that I did not ask my surgeon prior to surgery, and that I fear can't be answerd by the nurse I have a brief follow-up session with soon.
I went straight for a private hospial for this procedure, therefore I didn't contact my PM first. My questions follow after this paragraph, and I hope that either one of you enlighted (ex)sufferers out there, or one of you physicians can help me figuring out:
1) Should I see an endocrinist to have my hormone levels checked in any case?
2) The surgeon told after that she couldn't be sure that she removed breast tissue, only fat and "fibrous tissue" which she sendt to a histological analysis. What does that mean?
3) If it turns out to be all fat, how likely is it that it'll return?
4) Is there any way I by certain excersises or procedures (massage, etc.) can influence the final result - making my chest look the best possible?
Thank's in advance, guys - appricate your help!
