For some reason I keep running into people here on the boards who had a surgery in the past or even more then one, and they all have one thing in common they only had lipo. Im not a genius when it comes to gyne but isnt the gland the main problem in the first place, that causes the build up of fat. So if you dont remove it, just how long is it gonna take before the whole thing comes back again.

Are there reasons as to why some doctors dont do gyne excision and only lipo. If my surgeon would tell me hes only doing lipo then I think getting surgery would be a total waste of money, time and effort, since like I said all these people who had only lipo had like 3 extra surgeries after that.

disagree with the earlier minimization, that's bad enough.  you don't have to be a 44D to be unhappy, the fact is that pointiness is not a normal contour.

@copespo, depends on the case and the doc's technique.  a few large cases can go lipo only if it vacs up the tissue with the fat mass, but if not or it's too dense to do that, then i assume you'd need the excision too.  but a lot of docs don't realize that, especially the non-gyne specialists and they have to go do it again (or you have to fight them to, which is usually not easy).
* a man is more than a body will ever tell
* if it screws up your life the same, is there really any such thing as "mild" gyne?

Well if you only have fat (pseudogyne) then you only need lipo.  But I think that excision takes a lot more skill on the surgeons part, and you need to understand that this is a very difficult operation to get right...if they excise too much gland your nipples cave in, if they dont take out enough they are still puffy...it has to be perfect.  So I think some surgeons just steer clear of the whole problem and go with what  they do every day...lipo

Lipo only (in the traditional sense) is inadequate for removing the solid/dense tissue that causes many g cases.  If you have true g and get traditional lipo you will be disappointed.  Usually this happens when you settle for a doc who is inexperienced in g and only does what he is comfortable with.

IF your doc uses the new larger lipo tools designed specifically for tissue removal, you CAN get enough gland.  Even that though is successful in only about 1/2 of the cases.  The other half still need removal.  Seems very few docs are using these tools.

IF you only have fat and no gland issues lipo only is fine, seems to me though very few of the cases are this way.

When I get my surgery I will insist on both gland and lipo, I have more fat then gland but there is defiantly gland with the package as well. Im not really worried about my doctor not knowing what to do, since I will have my surgery done by Dr. Jacobs.

Jacobs not only uses the tool to suck out gland, he designed it .

On me he had to cut to get the gland.  I will say the most surprising aspect of the whole recovery is just how invisible those scars are.  Really hard to see even close up.

Oh Cool, I didn't know you had surgery done by Dr. Jacobs. How did it go? Are you satisfied with your results?

Went very well.  With my age, weight, and severity I am still looking at a second skin tightening procedure most likely.  I knew that going in, Jacobs was clear about my case and managed my expecatations well.

He is first class in my opinion. I see him for a follow up in early September, so I will know more then.

My surgery was back in April.
