I had surgery on Friday, everything went great. I've been feeling great, been walking to make sure I do lose my physique, but I notice around the stitching the skin is a dark color, like dark dark purple. I had gland incision and the surgeon cut along the edge of the aereola, and the aereola is what is discolored, its not all dark purple, just the immediate area around the stitches. Please tell me that my skin isn't dead and that discoloration is normal. My surgeon's office is closed so thats why I came here

It could be a scab. Thats how mine looked. I inadvertantly scraped it off, and it bled. I thought sure it would leave a permanent scar, as my entire nip was discolored. It healed fine. Looks normal

How long did it take to heal? Im 2 weeks post op and I have those scabs. One got scraped in my sleep and now that area is pink.
