Wasn't sure where to start this thread. Sorry if I offend.
Every now and then posters here talk about elevated oestrogen levels and various medications they are on as a cause.
I can't recall anyone raising the known link between the use if vaginal creams often used to treat feminine dryness especially post menopause and transfer of the oestrogen to male partners. This is known to be the cause of some cases of gynecomastia.
If you have gyno and are dreading having the "I need a bra talk" with your significant other, and if she uses these creams it might be a good starting point for the conversation. You also might get a better hearing. Maybe she might trial using non hormonal lubricant or be more sympathetic towards your need for a bra. As they say, "A problem shared is a problem halved"

This reminds me of one of the first episodes in the British "Doc Martin" series.

Yes it was featured there, but like everything in the series it was backed by many serious papers over a long period of time

I have also read about the link between a female using a non-oral estrogen supplement and their male patners developing some level of gynecomastia as a result. Even if your wife or partner uses an estrogen gel which is normally rubbed into the arm, close body contact can result in some transfer. Who knows, one might even speculate that the risk of gynecomastia from passive estrogen intake might even be greater than the risk of lung cancer from passive smoking?

Of course, lung cancer can kill a person while a pair of breasts can lead to embarrassment OR enjoyment... depending on the man's outlook. Hopefully, conversations on this board will help men to avoid embarrassment. Where that leads him is another matter... which we explore at times as well... push-up bras? Women's clothes? Who knows... :)

True that, but I tell you what, if both conditions were equally fatal, I know which one I'd rather die of! :o ;D
