I am planning to have the surgery and I am going to vegas five weeks after my surgery and I was wondering if at that point I will be able to take off my shirt without people noticing I had the surgery.

I know I should not stay in the sun to much because that can make the scaring more visible, but I am more concerned with people noticing that I had surgery.

thanks

Quoting thetodd on this as he posted a good reply to someone elses question which was pretty much exactly the same as this. Hope he doesn't mind  ;D

5) How long do you rekon after op will be able to go on holiday, without any noticeable visual scras / bruising.

Visible scars/brusing few weeks. But to go on holiday and for it to look even and un-noticeable months! Everyone heals differentley but you have scar tissue beneath your skin ... which will be visible on the beach

Had surgery with Dr. Karidis (London, UK) on 23rd July. Wearing tight t-shirts and looking forward to going swimming!

My experience so far & updates:

Obviously everyone heals at a different rate.  By five weeks, under ideal healing circumstances, you should be able to swim and take your shirt off.  I would recommend sunblock on your chest and strong sunblock on your scars.

Sometimes there can be swelling in some areas and not others.  This is unpredictable and may affect your ability to swim topless.
