I had my op with Karidis on the 4th of June, I'm currently 5 and a half weeks post-op, been massaging since week 2.. Got a fair bit of scar tissue which has developed. Now the general recommendation seems to be '5-10 minutes 3-4 times a day'.. I've been massaging 2-3 times a day, sometimes for 30-60 minutes, hoping that the longer the better as it's a matter of breaking up the tissue/softening it right?

But now I'm curious, could I be doing myself more bad than good? Is there any logical reason as to why shorter massage sessions will bring more benefit than long extended massage sessions? I will try to ask Karidis about his opinion on it if I can get hold of him so I'm now after 'speak to your surgeon answers', I want reasoned feedback be it from a doctor or personal experience.

Thanks!
