Did you at least get any recognition, acceptance and support from your family?

My mother was well aware of my breast development, as she had me seen by a specialist for it. I was tested in the children's hospital; I remember my boobs being measured, palpated, and I was photographed in the nude.

But very little was ever said to me and no discussions of managing having boobs. I think if I was not so embarrassed to ask, my mom probably would have talked about bras and helped me the best she could. I think we were all just too embarrassed to bring it up. In retrospect, I definitely wished I had asked about bras. If the physicians I saw had of discussed support garments, (bras), that would have opened the doors too but that did not happen.
