A new study of biological side effects of methadone indicates that testosterone is reduced in a dose proportionate way.  The article gives the amount of decrease per 10mg daily dose.

They are not outright saying anything about gynecomastia, but that is a longer term effect and not measurable from blood.  I have not seen any specific numbers on any other opioid though they are often blamed for causing gynecomastia.

So, like so many things, we each have to decide what risks we want to take in getting the medications we need.  Personally I have never had any medications cause any change in mine, as they have varied by weight between DD and D.  Even if they were affected it wouldn't make any difference at all for me at this point in my life.  I'll die with them, hopefully later rather than sooner.
