spray tan to hide scars

Hey I had surgery just about 6 months ago my scars are still primunent. I'm going on vaca Saturday and was thinking maybe a spray tan would help cover the scars temporarily. Does anybody here know if that works or makes it more prominent?? Thanks in advance for any advice

Really can't comment on spray tan -- I just don't know.

However, exposing relatively fresh scars to the sun will actually keep them redder for a longer period of time.  You might be better served by purchasing some skin-colored zinc oxide which will accomplish two purposes:  it will hide or mask the scars and it will also protect them from the sun.
