Title: Still a little sore
Post by: silly_guy on November 21, 2005, 06:58:15 PM
Got my op back in July, my chest is still a little sore when I massage.  Just wondering if that means there's still some swelling/healing going on or what.

Oh yeah, and it seemed like around the 3-4 month mark, a good massage would leave whatever material left (gland, fat, scar, i dunno) quite small and flat, but lately its been a bit more resistant, seems to not respond as well to the massages now.  I had lipo only on gland which removed quite a bit of what was there.

Doc says I can expect it to be even better than it was at that point, but I figure no harm in hearing any of yalls related experience.

We spoke some about an injection (collagen or something like that maybe?) if things don't improve.  Would love to hear anything about that, and also how can you tell scar tissue from gland.

Thanks,
Silly

Good God...6-12 months?
That is a huge amount of time. This board doesn't do me any good, I only see negative aspects of this surgery as of lately. Long healing time and 30% of the post-ops unhappy really don't make me feel comfortable of taking this decision that I initially was dead set on taking.

its a big operation to remove breasts so the body needs a lot of time to recover. i know it hard but the only thing to do is to let it take time
