how long do i need to wear compression vest- post op

.. some doctors say 1 week.. some doctors say that I have to wear it for 3 months.. some says 6 weeks... 3 months.- i think it is too long for anybody to wear that kind of vest:(
typically how long do I need to wear a compression vest after surgery?

4 weeks for the initial vest.  Its not bad.

thanks ajgdhd, whether stage 1 or stage 2 vest, am asking for total period that I need to wear the vest after surgery..

My PS told me when the bruising is completely gone, the vest in no longer needed. I wore my vest for about 6 weeks. It doesn't do any good to wear it longer than that.

Yeah, im sorry I forgot to mention.  4 weeks with initial vest and then 2 weeks with an underarmour type shirt.  Make sure its spandexy is what he told me and maybe even buy a size too small.
