I've been seeing a lot about drainage tubes, but I don't remember my doc saying anything about them and I'm going in for surgery in 2 weeks? Are drainage tubes Always used post surgery?

I didn't have any drains after my surgery. I think some surgeons prefer them while others don't.

I also did not have drains. My doctor told me that he only uses drains if your taking blood thinners (aspirin) or some other extreme circumstance.

I had a drainage tube in each side following my surgery.

I had read they were painful to take out and worried I was bleeding all the ime they were in.

In the end there were only dropsof blood in each and they did not hurt at all to take out.

I don't think I needed them really this seems to be the surgeons choice rather than function.

Drains are painful to take out??? Come on guys, that's not true!!!
You only have to take a deep breathe and in one second all is done!!!
You can find the success before sweating only on your dictionary.
