Here you go...I will keep posting every few days.  I say "Go for it."

It has just been two weeks + 2 days since the surgery.  I will keep posting.

There has been a ton of swelling on the left side.  But, as you can see in the "Sixteen day" photos it is getting better.  My body is starting to absorb the "junk".

Thanks.

I was lucky and never had any real pain.

My Doctor prescribed two types of pain meds.  One for the first few days  (I can't remember the name) and then Darvocet for the next few.   They gave me a shot of demerol before I went home the day of the surgery.  So that kept me in the no pain zone the first day.

I took the strong meds on a schedule-every 3.5 hours-before the pain started- for the first two days.  So,  I only felt sore.  It worked well.
I hear that if you wait until you "feel real discomfort " it may be a little more difficult to bring the pain back down.  My Dr. said there is no reason to feel bad...so he advocated the meds.  I am now totally off the pain pills.  I did take the strong pill before I went in to have the drains pulled on day 6 post surgery.   Therefore, that didn't hurt at all.

I wish you the best.

If you have worries about Post Op swelling remember to be patient. I woke up this morning and my left side swelling has totally improved.   I know it will swell a bit during the day...but it is so encouraging.

I will update my photos on week three (Tuesday).

Several people have told me that the three week post op  mark is when you really "turn the corner".  I am experiencing that...
