I'm going on 2 months post op and my left side looks great but my right side still looks bigger than normal. My right side feels like it has much more hard tissue underneath than the left. Should I try massaging? Could this resolve itself in a few more months?

Post-operative asymmetry can result from prolonged swelling, which might affect one side more than the other.  In that case, time, massage, and sometimes an injection of corticosteroid can help.  Alternatively, if there is a small hematoma (blood collection) or seroma (fluid collection), these may resolve with time, or possibly require aspiration (of blood or fluid).  If, on the other hand, the asymmetry is the result of more tissue being left behind at the time of surgery, then a revision might be required to correct the problem.  It's best to speak with your surgeon to figure out what is required, since he or she knows what was done in the operating room and can examine you.

Good luck,
