Hey everyone, I am 17 years old, I have had this condition for a couple years now, maybe two or three. I have always read that it has a ninety percent chance of going away when puberty subsides but from what I've read here, even people around my age are considering surgery which leads me to believe that my condition will likely be with me for quite a while. Am I wrong in thinking this?

I am around 6ft tall and weigh around 170lbs. I have a bit of fat on me but am hardly "overweight" by anyones standards but I just want to not have this condition for much longer but don't know if surgery has become my only option.

  • Had expensive surgery... Now I'm flat busted!
I'm guessing that since you've had it for that long and you're 17, it's going to stay with you.  Have you talked to a parent about your concerns yet?
