Has anyone ever been reccomended to gently lay an ice pack over the chest to reduce the swelling? I had my surgery on Friday. I have lipo and tissue cut out on both sides but the left has a significant amount of breast tissue so right now it seems really swollen. No drains were put in so it's still really swollen.  Would putting ice on it be bad?

in general, ice is helpful in minimizing swelling of a surgical wound for the first 24 to maybe 48 hours. After that, it doesn't really do anything.
