Title: Gyne 3D simulation question
Post by: Titswiggle on December 12, 2021, 03:33:16 PM
Do any doctors here utilize 3D simulation software to “show” the potential patient what results they should be able to achieve based on the surgical plan?  If so, how accurate were the simulations to the actual post-surgery results?

I used to use 3D simulation software but found that it wasn't that useful for demonstrating the potential after-results for gynecomastia correction. I have a large before/after gallery which demonstrates "real" patient results and is helpful for prospective to see what is possible with surgery.

No. I do not use any 3D simulator. I have many patient examples on my website that I review with my patients. i can usually show an example that closely resembles the patient's condition.

I agree with my colleagues -- no simulation.

Realize that virtually anyone can simulate a beautiful result on a computer -- but can they do it in the operating room?  A surgeon's before and after photos will answer that question.
