my intial consultation is in 2 days and i have a feeling that my doctor will say excision only, since my chest looks fine when my nipples are cold/erect.

what involves more recovery time the lypo or excision? and from peoples experience if you get excision only is it a quicker recovery time?

It is not just excision vs. liposuction, recovery after surgery depends on the original problem, what was done, skill of your surgeon, after care, how you heal and other factors.  I have evolved my Dynamic Technique to minimize bruising, swelling, and discomfort that I am able to post very early after surgery pictures.  Check out typical Bruising and Swelling After Dr. Bermant's Gynecomastia Surgery Gallery.

Comfort after surgery also depends on many factors.  Although I give each of my patients a prescription for strong oral medication, most take mainly just plain Tylenol after my sculpture.

Hope this helps,

if you have gland it has to be removed through excision.. I would worry more about getting the proper surgery done than the recovery period
