I am three weeks post op.  I was supposed to go in for a massage something or other but had to post-pone for a week.

When and how is the massage done?  Is it as simple as taking your finger and rolling it across the tisue kind of like kneading bread dough?  How hard to you do it?  Do you do it with the vest on or off?

I think the internal scars are pretty tough...it's like I have an egg shell casing over my chest.

  • Wilma, grab the lotion, we're going to the beach!
I bought my wife a 1 hour massage that she never used. She gave it to me because it was about to expire and when I asked the massage therapist to massage my chest, she said that would be considered inappropriate touching. ???

massage is sometimes used to help break up scar tissue.  if they tell you to, it should be done pretty gently, believe people have said they did it a few minutes a day for a couple of weeks, improvement is slow and gradual.  sometimes cortisone shots too but not often.
* a man is more than a body will ever tell
* if it screws up your life the same, is there really any such thing as "mild" gyne?
