Im 15 weigh 178 and 6ft 1 and i have had this lump under my nipple for about 2.5 to 3 years.. it hasnt really botherd me until this last year where it has grown a lot to the point i cant wear shirts anymore. I worked out almost everyday to try and get rid of it but it almost seemed to push it out more. THe lump is about the size of a ping pong ball and is kinda spread out toward my armpit. It makes my nipple all puffy. I have tried everything but i cant take it anymore and mom doesnt have money for surgery. Is there any way i could get like a loan or something?
I have to wear under shirts or "wife beaters" under all my shirts cause my nipple sticks way out of my shirt and is very noticable. Some times i tried tapping it down and it actually worked but i can not do this for the rest of my high school career/life. Im in lacrosse, play football, and on the swim team. Im actually thinking about quitting the swim team cause it bugs me so bad, but i dont know how i would tell everyone why im quitting cause they kinda need me for sections. Even when i work out i use a compression shirt even though sometimes its hot and uncomfortable. There is no one else i know at my school who has this problem and if they did it went away in like a year and didnt get nearly as large. MY pecs look normal when im cold or in a pool but there still big and nipple is puffy.

approaching a 3 on the 10 scale, and anything over 1 or 2 can be enough to make a person unhappy.

some ps's are willing to make payment arrangements, which would probably be lots better than some shark-like credit card company, just try to keep them happy and stay on schedule.  i doubt a bank would be really enthusiastic about a health-related loan but never asked one.

the difficulty is that 15's when you want to deal with it the most, but some ps's might be wary and ask you to give it another few years since there's no guarantee you're out of irregular hormone level country yet, they might even ask you to test, you'd have to ask them.   however, there's a good argument for dealing with it if it hasn't gone away too, as dr jacobs pointed out once at post 6 on http://www.gynecomastia.org/smf/index.php?topic=16104.0

welcome to the boards, wish you'd never had to visit ;)

* a man is more than a body will ever tell
* if it screws up your life the same, is there really any such thing as "mild" gyne?

Your 15 ... and it really isnt a huge case of gyne, puffy nipples tend to fizzle out once your ending your teen years once your hormones have stopped raging. Only you can decide how bad your gyne is!

I mean look at the link in my signature i didnt have a case as servere as titmouse's but trust me i got ALOT of shit for it. And im no shrinking violet it really ruined my teenage years. And yours isnt as bad as mine.

But yeah, dont worry mate fingers crossed it will go! And well theres nothing you can do about it tbh but wait. And maybe start putting some money aside anyway incase you need surgery. And if you turn 20 and gyne free well its new car time ;)

Most definitely mild, give your body a chance to finish growing, it is a fact that most teenage boys experience puffy nipples or slight Gynecomastia, THAT goes away with age!  Relax and if your still have it after 5 years then see a doctor about it.

You will get all these people on here telling oh yes dude you need surgery by the way your picture looks, and it is just like theirs, (fact is no two people have the same) JUST remember that only doctors can diagnose you and that isn't just from a picture!

 8)GOOD LUCK KID!!

thats exactly how mine looks and looked like when i was 15. im 17 now and it hasnt gone away, im gonna get surgery soon. if i could go back to when i was 15 i would have definitely have gotten surgery sooner. its up to you though, the exercise and enjoyment of swimming with your friends going to the beach is not worth losing.

You're absolutely right. I'm 19 almost 20 and i've had gyne since i was about 13, i guess. It controls basically everything i do that involves wearing anything but a sweater. Don't miss out on your high school and university social life because of something that can be easily fixed.
