Hi Everyone,
I'm brand new to the forum. Thank you for allowing me to part of the community!
Anyway, yesterday marked a week that I had gynecomastia surgery. I've been healing pretty well, so far, but as of a couple of days ago I've been having a painful,  uncomfortable feeling underneath the right side of my chest--near the ribs. I think the compression vest may be causing this. I also have been getting chills near my back, regularly. Could the vest be causing rib damage, or is it something else?
I have my first post-op check up with my surgeon in a few days, but I am hoping that I can get some feedback before then.
Thanks.

You should check with your surgeon to make sure there is no infection present.

Welcome to the forum!

Usually a vest does not cause problems such as you describe.  It is possible that you are in the early stages of Mondor's Syndrome, a benign condition which can follow breast surgery on a man or woman.  Why not Google it and you will find out more about it.

Good luck!
