Title: Should the Plastic Surgeon's age be a factor when selecting a Surgeon?
Post by: NaughtyGuy91 on November 30, 2021, 12:23:56 PM
Hi,

I'm considering surgery in India, and consulted a plastic surgeon.
He has substantial experience with gyno surgeries.
The only concern I have, is that he is currently around 75 years old(practices in his private clinic).
Should age be a factor when selecting a surgeon?

In general age is not too much of a factor. However once surgeons get into their 70's I think it is reasonable to have that question. If the surgeon appears vital, healthy, alert and "in touch" with you and your concerns than it is probably alright. You could ask to speak to a few recent patients to get reassurance. Good luck.
