I told my mother earlier. She had often made comments about them before, so I told her I had gynecomastia, she asked what it is, I told her. She asked how people usually got rid of it and I said surgery, she looked at me and said "well its not a big deal" and I then went into this big rant about it, and about what a shit time I was having, and she stopped me half way through and said "I meant surgery isnt a big deal, I'll book you an appointment with the doctor".
It's hard to express my happiness, so I'll leave it there. I have an appointment booked for the 29th.
I thought she'd laugh, but I forced myself to tell her, all I can say is, whatever your parents are like, TELL THEM.

Wow that's great to hear. I wish my parents were that easy about it :D
One thing I should mention though, is check the doctor you're going to and make sure he's done a decent number of these procedures. Ask questions ask questions ask questions!
There are many people on this board who have been unsatisfied with their results, mostly due to the doc's work. So make sure you don't get it done from some random ass guy who really has no idea what he's doing (like only doing lipo if in fact you have gland)

I told my mother yesterday (I've always said that I hate my chest and cant wear knit shirts).
She said that "You are just 16 you have to wait" and I said that I'm almost 17 already and it's been bothering me since 11, and then she was like "You always do this, you want everything that pops into your mind at once you can't wait even for a moment"
She's such a bitch she doesn't get it... But I'll go to the doctor on monday/tuesday anyway and get that surgery, whatever it takes :P
I hope your parents arent that bitchy and un-understanding :P

After i told my mother i felt so releived its a great feeling. Of course i was drunk and ranting when i told her otherwise i couldnt do it. She said she had no idea how i felt, which seems odd to me but it goes to show you never really know a person. Shes wright to surgery is no big deal. The waiting is what sucks.

saw the doctor, says im not old enough for surgery, and to come back and see in 6 months, im pretty small for my age(15)...
kinda upsetting, im having to wrap bandages around them for now.
-
15 is old enough. Was it the surgeon that told you that? Was it a gynecomastia specialist?

no it was a stubborn GP...
I was nearly crying at the time and tbh I didnt have it in me to protest...

This is standard nonsense from a GP. While they can have a broad knowledge of a lot of things, they don't know it all in spite of their fantasies to the contrary.
So get my book, have your mother read it and get to a plastic surgeon who does this surgery.
