i have to quit smoking for at least a month which is probably a good thing, hopefully it'll turn into forever...

i know your not supposed to smoke 2 weeks before the op, how bad is it if i break down and have a couple in those 2 weeks...

they have no way of knowing right? i know, no smoking or healing will be slowed down or i might not heal properly, and i don't plan to smoke at all, but just wondering what happens if i have a couple...

Smoking is counter-indicated to prevent bruising.  It sucks the vitamin C out of your system and predisposed you to hematoma and bleeding.  Don't cheat even once.  Try to quit for good.  That way you can enjoy the outside of your chest post-surgery without having to worry about the health of the stuff inside your chest.
