Important Q about silicon sheets post-op?

Anyone have an answer on this....

Does the use of silicon sheets help internal , hard scar tissue build up ( to dissipate and break down) or does it only work on the surface scars( improving the incision appearances) ??

I dont know for certain, BUT I think they are for external scars.

I typically use Silicone Sheeting and Topical Scar Care for surface scars.  Massaging and  Compression Garmants can help with deeper scar evolution.  However, all scars start with the technique of the surgery and skill of the surgeon.  I prefer to individualize the scar care for each of my patients. This can extend from the type / fit of the garment to the method of scar massage.  Such issues are best discussed with your own doctor.

Thats what I thought, and was afraid of.

really wish I could find some good methods of taking care of deep, internal scar tissue , without having it excised again.
