Hi Dr's,

I am 14 days post op after bi-lateral mastecomy with lipo. The incisions were around the areola.

So far so good and am very pleased with the result and my surgeon has been excellent.

I was just wondering if any of you guys use nipple cushions, by this I mean a dressing with a hole for the nipple area and then my compression top on top of that. My surgeon said this is best for blood flow of the stitched area.

I've not seen this mentioned on here before, people seem to just go for the compression top?

Many thanks for your time and I can not thank you all enough for all the help and advice this excellent site has/is giving me.

I am aware of this technique and there is nothing wrong with it.  I don't bother with it and have never had a problem.

Many thanks dr. Jacobs.

Guess I'll stick with these unusual dressings! The things we do, but all very well worth it!

Thanks again.
