What's the difference between Mamoplasty and lipectomy?  I found out that the mamoplasty isn't covered for sure, but the insurance company is still deciding whether or not to cover lipectomy.
I hope I spelled those right.

"Mammo" means mammary gland, "plasty" means to change. mammoplasty simply refers to surgery of the breast tissue.  "Lipo" means fat, "ectomy" means to surgically remove.  In gynecomastia surgery, it is likely you will need to remove mammary tissue as well as fat.  Either way, I would not hold your breath waiting for an insurance company to pay for the procedure.
