I think whoever operates this website must not be very smart as far web technology goes.

I tried to link to another post on Gynecomastia.org and I got an error message saying something like " No links to outside websites"

However " Gynecomastia.org" is NOT ANOTHER(OUTSIDE) Website, its the same website I am posting to !!!

How can the person running this website not recognize their own website? Geeze, I hope someone got fire for that one.

I mean, how bad do you have to be to not tell the difference between your own website and an outside website.

How am I suppose to reference information on this website when they have altered the programming to consider their own website an outside website.

In other words, Gynecomastia.org recognizes Gynecomastia.org as an outside foreign website.

Seriously ???????

What's stopping you from starting your own forum, if you can do it so much better?

The forum worked fine then someone when in and screwed everything up recently

This has not always been like this.

Are you saying that gynecomastia.org links are an outside website? That is the name website we are on right now.

If someone is abusing the system, then ban them but don't screw up it up for everyone else who are using the website in an honest way.

Why does this website consider itself to be outside website?

You have 31 post! Have you been on as a other user in the past that you know that the web site now works differently then it did before?

Yes, I know how this website use to run when by the original owner was running it.  It tired to actually help people learn and collaborate information. It was much more vibrant and interactive then it is today.

You use to get all kind of responses from other users, doctors, etc.... People use to exchange all types of information and show links to different things to discuss how they works and what was best,etc..

However, now its very dead compared to the way the website use to work. Many post go completely unanswered.  Very few people are posting pictures like they use to. Heck, I can't even reference other post in the same website.

There is hardly even a forum anymore, most of my questions are back and forth between me and you.

I have seen this before and it usually happens someone who does not have experience running a website is trying to solve a problem but does something that has collateral damage and unintended consequences.

There is no reason why I should not be able to link from photobucket or reference a link to another post in this forum. This is what the new owner incorrectly is doing in order to stop spammers from advertising on the site but had ended up censoring people from uploading picture of gynecomastia cases in order to get help or asking about topics they have read on other threads in the same forum.

Have you notice that things have gotten a lot quieter lately? These are not positive changes.  You don't hurt the members looking for help in order to try to stop the occasional spammers.

The original owner had a problem with an unnamed doctor from Texas and he banned him from the site. He did not ban everyone in the state of Texas, he just ban the offending party. That is how you do it. If a spammer is posting a link to Viagra, you ban that spammer and maybe his website. You don't ban all websites links(even of your website). That is idiotic to ban your own website's links.

It is what it is!

I have noticed that people will stop responding to people that seem to have issues that may not be able to be resolved. We have had posters with chest as flat as a board and insisted they had a problem! No one wanted to reply because it was a cause that could not be resolve because there was other issues then gynecomastia involved and we are not the right forum for that!

Go to the section that fits your topic such as stories, then at the top of the right hand side (not WAY up) but in the gray area click on new topic. You will see MARK READ,  NOTIFY,  NEW TOPIC
