I had what I believe was puberty-related hormone imbalance gynecomastia, but now I'm not so sure. It started on my left side last summer, but that went away while the right side started up. This is clear evidence that at least the left side was caused by hormone imbalance. My left side is totally fine now, but my right side sticks out and is noticeably larger. It has been a while, and now the tenderness in the right side is going away but it is still fully out there. Is this a sign that this side will be permanent?

Gynecomastia can develop during puberty. Frequently it will resolve on its own. There is nothing you can really do that would help it go away. if it lingers for more than two years it is unlikely to go away on its own. At that point surgery would be the best option. hang in there.
