And Hi y’all,

I am writing today to get some advice from my fellow puffy nippled fellows. It has become evident from a ton of research I have done and videos I have watched that the glandular tissue behind the nipple is what causes my puffy nipples. I am overweight at the moment due to my own actions and plan to lose it before I get the surgery. I have one question for all of you lovely gentleman!! The only surgeons in Nova Scotia (or perhaps Canada in general) do not remove the whole gland, but enough to make it appear normal. Did you get the whole gland removed? Should I get the whole gland removed or will it cause an indentation? I have watched many of dr lebowitz videos and he seems to be fantastic at the surgery. What is your advice? Should I go to a doctor who will remove the entire gland? Any doctor reccomendations within Canada that will remove the entire gland and have successful stories? Pictures attached for reference.

Yes, you do have puffy nipples, which indicates breast tissue (gland) directly beneath the areola and which pushes it outward.  But most often there is additional excess tissue on the chest, which should be treated as well.  Treatment should be directed towards improving everything -- not just the puffy nipples.  I doubt whether there are any gyne specialists in Nova Scotia but there are certainly gyne specialists in Canada and in the eastern USA.  Be sure to consult with one (several is better) for a complete idea of what can be done for you.  Don't rush and check for appropriate credentials, including board certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Good luck!

Dr. Jacobs, could you perhaps give me a referral to someone within Canada who can remove the entire gland? I am looking at doing it in the United States but it more than doubles the cost of the procedure. If you cannot I understand.

Sorry, I do not know any Canadian surgeon personally.  There are a number of excellent gyne surgeons in Canada, though.  Why not check out the Canada section elsewhere on this website?
