My surgery was just excision no lipo, doc removed 28g on left and 30g on right. I had drains for 3 days as well. However my left nipple is pretty good but my right nipple is puffier than my left and still sticks out. It is a bit disheartening! (There is good improvement though but still idk) is there any chance this is some kind of swelling? It has been 3 months, I stopped compression a month ago. I feel tiny lumps, it is numb and also there is slight pain during massages.

These are today (a little more than 3 months out) the last picture is my left nipple, there is a little bit of a raised scar which is making it protrude a bit more. My main worry is my right nipple which is the middle two pictures, I feel it is still puffy. The pre surgery pictures both nipples were around the same. Is it a good sign that the nipples are still sore and numb? Does this mean that there is still swelling or fluid that will go away? Thank you.

The pain is no big deal ,its common to have minimal discomfort at this point. The issue is was enough taken out at surgery. Its not uncommon to have some swelling at 10 weeks or 11 weeks. I would say stay active continue to massage and see if things resolve. Hopefully everything will be fine fine. If things do not resolve there are some options which would include some kenalog injections and re-excision.

Okay, thank you, do you have a good massage routine? My surgeon hadn't mentioned anything about that. I have used compression however.
