Also i am god afraid to jump into the sac with a girl.. i dont get many offers but i have declined three so far since i turned 19 (nov 13) and i am wondering does it appear bad or could they be passed off as muscle or something to a drunk person (i dont take advantage,.. but the girls i hang out with are always drunk)

My condition used to look exactly like yours.  I too weighed around 170 but am a few inches shorter than you.  I then lost the weight and put on quite a bit of muscle, which actually made the condition worse since almost all of my gyne is caused by gland.  If yours is also mostly gland, your gyne will look much worse if you loose too much weight and don't get surgery...but if you do decide to get surgery you can probably expect much better results if you decide to get really fit before the surgery.

Like nargle1, my chest muscles also 'ball up' which makes the condition even more apparent.  When I lost weight I noticed by areolas got larger as well because of this.  They started out around the same size as yours are but are around 25% larger now.  If you are looking to get the surgery within a month or two, I suggest you do whatever you can to loose fat without losing any muscle.  I'll be honest and estimate that you've easily got 20+ pounds of fat to lose before you'd loose the gut.  Arms and legs are very decieving when judging bodyfat.  Good luck and keep us updated.

Irrespective of how your gynaecomastia looks, the real issue I think is how it makes you feel.

As I am sure you are aware, this condition affects men in very different ways and to very different depths.  Does your chest compromise you life?  Do you wear certain clothes in a certain way?  Do you avoid taking your shirt off in public?  Do you feel somehow ashamed on a daily basis?

Many guys don't take issue with what they have and just get on with life.  For other guys, it's a daily nightmare.

I think surgery would make a significant difference in making your chest flatter.  I tell people that with me having surgery (later today as it happens :o ) will not make me a happier person, but it will take away a layer of sadness that has been with me most of my life.

Hope that helps.

Its already ruined my high school life. It has taken away two beautiful girls i just couldn't get into bed with and my first year of college went pretty well as turning 19 counter-acted my lost for the women factor.

I also never take my shirt off in public i am afraid too, even in the gym room i will do my pants first if i tmeans less people.. .My gyne has not been pointed out in the last few years but child hood was easy for me as i was always a nice kid so people didn't really have a reason to do it. I did always get the attempted squeeze from some people those are always embarassing.. I could punch them out but what would be the point?

All i know is i won't ever rag on somebody with this problem.. hell ill refer them here.

I just want a normal life and some women when i am post-op i am going with Dr. Warren C . Law who had a good rep and review, i would have gone with fielding but he charged $1075 and Warren $ 600 so $475 is alot of money, and he does alot of surgeries also. And the fact that fielding can not perform it in public hospitals tell may...

As for loosing fat, i am way ahead of you boyz i run 30 mins a day now and 25 mins on the cross trainer. The 30 mins is my dash from the subway to work and work to subway (15 both ways).

And in my defence i did just eat dinner prior to taking the photos... Spaghetti and meatballs to be exact!

I have put on alot of muscle too recently i can't risk loosing any of it, it will help me loose weight in the long run. And i feel if i loose the gyne it will give me a good boost to moral to keep at it. I will drop another 5-10 lbs prior to surgery but thats all i can do :(, i hope to drop 20 lbs from today by April. The surjury is partly really to impress the women i have befriended (all i seem to be able to do trying to go further :D). The other part being to free me and let me live normal and experience things for myself..

I even get sometimes "woah" from women when they see me lift, but i feel if i took my shirt off they'd know it wasnt al lmuscle...

My Goal is to have a better look in a t shirt and wear polo. I want my chest to be flatter so it looks good and shows off my muscles, i also am going to loose another 10-15 lbs by april. Is it safe to assume this will give me a good look for my build ? That is the outcome i wish to achieve.

Will the gyne surjury make me look better to women even with just it and my current prospects?

And do you two have any photos so i can see somewhere as to what to expect???

As for the nipples i know mine are smaller i didnt wanna loose too much cuz if they enlarge i feel it will make my post op look worse as they'd have to tighten. Wheere as now they are already small.. safe assumption?

You won't loose much muscle in one month, and after surgery when you can lift again it won't take long for you to get back into your current condition (muscle memory).  Losing the fat should be your top priority if you really want to show off your build.

Have a look at my photos guys:

http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/oddmuscles2005/my_photos

The Second album is the result of 1 month hard definition building without adding mass or bulk.

And my topic:

http://www.gynecomastia.org/cgi-bin/gyne_yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=2;action=display;num=1134692685;start=0#0

I'm a sub-professional bodybuilder (never going professional, it's disgusting!) with this problem. I think surgery is my only option. If you read my first post you'll notice my body fat is around the 8-9% mark (not a drop of fat on me).

As you can see from my photos my pecs are quite large and in my case, my nipples just drop with my gyne far below them. My gyne is also glandular, so no matter how much I build it will always be on top of them.

In my case, once I dropped below 10% fat (and before I started bodybuilding, about 2 years ago) my ribs stuck out approx. 2 inches from my stomach. The gyne was still there, of course. Once I gained defined abdominals and large pecs, bis and tris it still didn't make me happy, because the gyne was still there.

In the end, I'm having surgery and I will have to deal with the outcome. On the upside, I'm already very fit so I don't have to worry about that after.

I hope this helps.

I haven't had surgery yet and I don't have a camera to take pictures with but I've suffered from gyne for many years.

As long as you eat a balanced diet you shouldn't worry about your protein intake or going without working out for a few weeks.  To see muscle definition, you need to loose fat.  If you weigh 175, are almost 6' and look like that in your pics, you are probably in the mid to high 20s for bodyfat.  In your case you have at LEAST 25 pounds of fat before you see some good definition.

unisys is weight lifting 3-4 times a week and possibly 20 mins of running 3-4 times a week sufficient?

by running i mean 20 mins on the cross trainer @ cardio level

Excess skin

Will this be a problem in my case? i felt behind my nipple and it feels a little soft but then their is a big piece of tissue, i think my gland is actually quite large..

Will my skin be saggy or should it contract/tighten in a month or two?

i get my surjury date in 4 days and i am pumped i really need to know what to expect !

Anybody have a similar size problem and have any after pics?

My Second question is i noticed my nipple/chest sort of points moreso forward when i flex then down, i think my gyne is below the nipple area and behind it, will it be easier to correct this way?

When i flex and push down from the top to the bottom i can feel my chest at the top but then below is where the gyne really is felt, and it shows..

Also i am working out again everyday about 20 days of cardio/weight lifting is all i have left prior to surjury, can i lift the days right before surjury or do i have to wait it out and not weight lift/do cardio for 2-3 days prior to the surjury.

I have also ceased all alcohol consumption/tylenol/drugs/marijuana since i heard this is good to do before surjury. This gives me roughyl 25 days of being free of these products too is this a good idea?
