Hey Everyone,

I have been suffering over the last 10 years of my life because of gynecomastia. My problem is puffy nipples. I would say that the area is not very large, but it is noticeable when I wear a tshirt.
Now as a 23 year old college student, I really can not afford surgery, which BTW in Australia costs around $8000AUD.

A friend has recommended another non-surgical alternative called lipodissolve/ injection lypolisis. Apparently its a series of injections involving a substance called PCDC. Its generally used for treating fat/adipose tissue in the body. However, according to some net sources it can also eliminate other tissues i.e. gynecomastia tissue.

So what do you guys think? Has anyone had this procedure on their chest area or have considered this option??

Any advise is much appreciated!!

Cheers,
Sand

The process of killing off tissue by injection, means the body must rid itself of the dead tissue which it does by scarring.  Fat converted to scars has firmness just like gland. Distortion can be even worse on animation.

I have seen quite a few disasters: patients really unhappy with doctors who tried this "technique."  Try to find any decent documentation such as a complete set of before after pictures / movies.  From what I have seen, all marketing hype with no evidence to back up "claims." I have also seen patiets where the internal scars from their misadventure complicated attempts at revision surgery by other doctors.

No Surgery Body Shaping Garments are a good temporizing contouring solution.

Hope this helps,

At best, lipodissolve may help with fatty tissues.  It is extremely controversial and may indeed result in internal scarring and deformity which may not be remediable.

It has never been espoused as a treatment for excess breast tissue.

In sum, I would avoid this -- it is not an acceptable alternative to treat gynecomastia.
