i heard that working out your chest(ex. bench press, etc.) could possibly make gyne worse. is this true or just a myth?

It doesn't make the gyne 'worse' per say. When you build muscle, it is under the fat/gland/etc, so your already big chest will stick out further the bigger the muscle underneath gets.

Muscular chest show signs of gyne greater than no muscular chest. Philly pretty much said it. As you build muscle it pushes on fat and gland and can cause minor gyno to appear greater.
