WTF? I thought this was a fairly trivial procedure with few risks. anyone out there hear of anyone being really disfigured by a procedure gone a'rie?

There are risks associated with any surgery. The risks of gyne surgery if you have a competent surgeon are low. I havent heard of anyones nipple dropping off here though if you do a search on plastic surgery horror stories im sure youll find enough cases of nectrotised tissue, infection and all what not to thoroughly and needlessly stress yourself out before your surgery.

Actually, there was one guy, quite a while back who posted a few post-op pics and it looked like his areolas/nipples were gone. Someone mentioned this fact to him and we never heard from the guy again. So yes, surgery can go a'rie. However, as outertrial mentioned, if you hire a competent/qualified surgeon, chances of adverse results are slim-to-none...  ;)
