Hi everyone, ive been anonomously reading these forums for a very long time, for about a year actually. They have GREATLY helped me! From the bottom of my heart i thank all of you.

You guys are probably wondering why after 1 year?? Well i went the long way..... went to my family docter.. he did some tests, he couldnt find anything wrong with me.. sent me to a specialist who did more tests.. and couldnt find anything wrong aswell!!!! unfortunately all these tests took nearly 10 months to do.

So finally took things into my own hands and called Fielding, appointment was made 2 months from the date i called... and thats TODAY.

Im so excited.. i finally decided to make an account so i can share my experience with everyone here, although your all finding about it now, everyone posting in these forums have been unknowingly supporting me. Thank You Guys!!!

PS:
Im Southeast Asian Male, 20 years of age.
Ive been facing this problem as early as 12-13 years of age....
I styll remmember, when i stood up in grade 7 for the national anthem, id slouch over because my breasts would protrude.
For the past 7-8 years ive suffered, unable to goto the beach/swimming pool, never taking off my shirt, always dressing baggy... finally it can all end.
Hah, maybe i can finally not be afraid to hug a girl! ;)

What's most important is that you're correcting something that bothers you.  Good luck and make sure you keep us fellow pre and post op gyne brothers up to date on your progress.

CCSCC....

Congrats on the consult with JCF!

I know what you mean about hugging girls/women. Man, when I had Gyne, I was so embarrassed to hug females. I thought "What will they think of me? They'll for sure feel the moobs!"

Let us know how ya make out with 'Da-Man'....

Later...

John.

Had my appointment. Fielding was very understanding and i felt completely comfortable talking with him. I have my second appointment on December 23, and my Op. on January 11.
Ahhh i can't wait, it feels soo far away.

He said i had slightly severe Gyne it seems. The cost is gonna be 1284 including GST + OHIP.
I believe in took into account i was a student.

Patiently waiting  ::)

Hey man, that's awesome!  My surgery is booked for January 4th (unless they aren't open that day anymore, it would be on the 11th, which I really hope won't happen).  I'm a student too, I guess he's raising his price for everyone now.  Not that I care that much, I just want to get rid of the gyne!

Yeh, definitely the price doesnt really matter to me, I would get it done even if it meant paying 5K :o, i don't think i can live with this for the rest of my life.

Feels sooo far away, in the meantime ive set myself an ultimatum, starting October is hardcore ab workout... by time January 11 comes by i should be in a fair shape ;).

Hmm, if yours is moved to 11th Achilles, we might see each other at the hospital :P.

Hopefully it won't be moved to the 11th as I was hoping to have it the week before the 4th initially but they are closed for holidays and the 4th is actually the first day of classes for the winter session so I'd be missing two classes to get this op done and then it's the recovery that I'm hoping won't get me too tired to focus on my school work.

Thanks Bambu!  I can't wait!  I've been back at the gym for a few weeks now and trying to get in the best shape possible before the surgery...sucks that I'll have to start back almost from scratch once I recover though, but it's all good!

Achilles....

U'll be back at the gym within 3 to 4 weeks post-op. I highly doubt that your muscles will loose much strength/size in that amount of time.

Yep, Granpa Bambu is right, we won't lose to much muscle post-op.
My main reason to start working out before the op. is so i can really push myself to the limit; get the most out of myself. That way once the op. is done, itll be like a complete make-over.
I decided to start working out pre-op instead of post-op because i doubt ill be able to get alot out of myself for quite a while post-op.

I am doing the complete opposite.
I have stopped working out for the last 2 months.
My theory is that if I stop working out, and just continue to maintain my healthy diet, and light/moderate daily excercise, that the fat cells will be at their normal size,
so when the lipo takes place, he will remove all of the fat cells as per my normal body weight/size.

If I were to workout like I was before, the fat cells would
be much smaller, and thus missing the possibility that
not as many fat cells will be removed during surgery.

So my plan was to simply do nothing, but eat healthy like I always do and be as normal as possible.

Which is exactly what I have done for the past 2-3 months.

I am now at 175lbs, and ready to go under the knife this wednesday.
We'll soon see the results!  :)

Good luck to you Raven.  I don't agree with the not working out stuff but good luck nonetheless.

I've been working out on and off for the last 3+ years and one of the reasons I start and then stop is because I've never seen results for my chest and so the way I see it now is that if I work out now, get in good shape (I'm not in bad shape right now, 5'10, 185lbs), build a bit of muscle in my chest, once the op is done, I'll almost probably be at where I want to be physically.  And I know that once I have the results I want it will motivate me to stay at the gym.  I've changed my diet a bit, nothing too major, it can still be better, but I'm not trying to lose to much weight anyways and I'm eating pretty healthy right now (everyone has to cheat a little :P).

Anyways, good luck with the op Raven!  Keep us posted on how it went and post some pictures if you can!

On the note for working out... Ive been in the same situation Achilles.. I would werkout.. get in shape.. moment i see no change in my chest, i quit.
This time, im much more motivated, because i know in 4 more months, ill see a huge change in my chest  :D.

As for Raven, How did it go man!!!! i dont see any post-op posts anywhere ???. maybe im not looking hard enough :-/.
But yeh, keep us informed, ur on the other side now!

3 months left!  I called Fielding's office yesterday to see if they were going to keep my appointment date for the 4th and she told me that she was given the go ahead to book surgeries for that day, so that was a relief.

Raven, how did it go??
