Well, I took the plunge. Saved up the dough, did a gut check and had the surgery. This condition has complicated my life since I was 14. I am now 30. As an athletic guy with a slim build it was impossible to hide. The surgeon told me afterwards that there was considerable gland but little fatty tissue. I had both the lipo and excision done, and now I am itchy in a pressure vest waiting for the follow up. It is strange to be in this head space now, having gone through with but waiting for the healing to finish. I am in no rush and do not have unrealistic expectations. I feel quite calm about it. Once the vest can come off I will post some pictures. I did not take any before, mainly because my condition did not show up well in photos.
