to the docs - what are my options with keloids/hypertrophoc scars

Hi docs,
I am a black guy, and developed a keloid scar (shaped like a smiley face) on the underside of my areola after surgery. (it's either that, or hypertrophic skin growth..I don't know/can't tell the difference).. After it devloped, I used a silicone patch - Cica gel, but that doesn't seem to be helping (about 3months into usage).. What are my options and what are the pros and cons?
