So, I am 10 weeks post op and I think my chest looks flatter, and better. But one big thing that's bothering me is that my right side seems a bit more swollen on the outside near the armpit.  I see a lot of people on here say " wait 6 months" and " if you like the immediate post surgical results, you'll like the final result"  I can't remember what I looked like immediately post surgery, but I did take my vest off and take a peak and I think I was  flatter and more symmetrical then than I am now,  But I cant be sure. Do most surgeons take pictures immediately post op? I'd like to see mine. Also,  when I grip my chest is feels a lot like tissue there and not swelling.  Would my surgeon have immediate post op pictures, and would he email them to me?

why don't you just ask your surgeon about the pictures?

I can't speak for all surgeons -- only for myself.

I always take a series of pre-op (before) pictures.  And then I wait a minimum of 4-6 months or more to take the post-op (after) photos.  There is no need to take interim photos because things are always changing, day to day and week to week.

Best to speak to your own surgeon about photos.
