estrogen and pimples

Hello all. I am wondering if estrogen can cause a pimples? I am early 50s and still get pimples and as of now i have 4 on body( 2 around right breast, collar bone and back and one below mouth). I am not sure if it does or not and wanted to ask, thanks

I usually get pimples just about the time I get a growth spurt. Usually on my face or in my ears. 
I'm no doctor, but I have always assumed it to be hormonal.

Acne is mostly hormonal and also hygienic in most respects. 

If you have ever seen a pregnant woman break out you understand what I mean. 
And yes, the girlymones are causing it to occur.
