I have been on cabergoline for just over a month now.

Within the first week my sex drive was up, my stamina was up and I was able to "last" longer as well as go at it again within a short time. I almost feel as "ancy" as I did in high-school. My semen volume has dramatically increased (sorry if that's too much info) and climaxing feels different and is a lot more powerful.

After a month now, I noticed that when I do lactate, it's not the same milky white color that I had before, now it's a clearer color, like cloudy sweat. The cabergoline, i'm assuming, is decreasing the prolactin like it's supposed to.

NO side affects *knock on wood* so far. I'm on a .5mg twice weekly routine. I'm going back to see my endo in a month.

Again sorry if some of this was T.M.I. lol.

Hey, I just got put on cabergoline too.  I found this AMAZING D.O.  I am 27 and have elevated prolactin and estrogen.  What I loved about my doc is that he is so forward thinking and liberal --- my e2 is 37 and my prolactin was like 19 or something.  He still said it was sky high based on my age and ratio.  I loved how he looked at the entire combination of hormones.

I have mild gyno, but many other symptoms like no morning erection, low libido, etc.  I was on antidepressants for over ten years, and propecia/avodart for hair loss.

So should I expect morning wood after a week?  Will I have a libido again?  ...My doc is also prescribing Arimidex in 2 weeks.  I am super excited, and I hope the combo of these two will raise my testosterone.  Its in the 500's now, but I want to be much higher, and he feels I should be to ( for the optimal range since I'm 27).

Sorry for the delayed response.

You WILL have a libido again, perhaps more than your lady can handle lol. It's funny, I've gone from being the one with no sex drive and having an upset girlfriend, to now I'm the one who is upset that SHE can't keep up.

Yes you will have "morning wood" again.

I'm 25 btw and sexually I feel like I did in high school again. I never realized just how jacked up my hormones were and what they had done to me until I got on cabergoline.

Well I have taken it for one week now (twice a week).  The first few days I felt my libido go up, but now it's gone again.  I'm also coming off anti-depressants.  Finally...

How long before it kicks in?

Do you have any testosterone reads after you got on the meds?  I hear it allows your test to go up naturally.

It kind of all goes hand in hand.  I do have a mild case of gyno, and I know that the Cabergoline probably won't fix it since I've had it for years.  The Cabergoline is for elevated prolactin levels, which are known to sometimes cause gynecomastia.  Lowering prolactin levels and estrogen (if elevated) helps regulate imbalanced hormones that may have causes the gyno in the first place.

Regulating the hormones may not get rid of the gyno, but addressing the hormone issue is important for future health.  Lowering prolactin to healthy levels will provide a healthy libido, decrease irritability and depression, etc.  For me I had a lot of different symptoms (which included gyno) and to me they pointed to a slight hormonal imbalance. My gen doc told me I was within the "normal" range, which I was.  But I didn't agree and went to a specialist.  He said that any e2 over 30 needs to be addressed.  I agree.

I also got on Arimidex and after one pill I noticed a decrease of irritability.  Who knew that being a woman could make you such a bitch!

For me it kicked in full swing after a little less than a month.

I'm actually getting bloodwork done tomorrow and then seeing the doctor next week to go over the results

*Fingers crossed*

As felt: As phx said, it's meant for Gyne, but has the affects of also increasing libido as well as helping other sexual deficiencies.
