Hi! I am one day post op. Any advice?
I have a compression vest on that is wrapped in ace bandage that they put on me right after surgery. I am sore, how do I know if i have a hemotoma or seroma without taking off the ace bandage and vest. I have my first follow up on monday.
Also when getting out of bed i need to obviously push myself up, how much strain can i put on myself? I assuming sitting up and getting out of bed is okay, but i do feel very sore when i do it. Any advice for the next couple of days is greatly appreciated!!!

You just had surgery,  you're going to be very sore so you need to be patient and also move slowly!

If you want you could take a hammer and hit your thumb as hard as you can, this my take your mind off of your other pain, but I wouldn't recommend this, I find after surgery and I've had 8 of them 3 being major back surgeries and 2 total knee replacements, that meditation with music can help take the mind of the pain!
