I just had surgery yesterday December 10, 2008.  I was always self conscience on my look and as much as I used to train I could never do anything about the size of my chest. Here are the results today 1 day after my surgery with Dr. Lovaas in Miami. So far I think it looks great.  He performed liposuction and mastopexy as well.  Tell me what you think?

One thing I notice about this is that it is very similar to what I am going to have to have done.
Because of the amount of loose skin on my chest I am going to have the complete circular incision thing where it basically looks like they remove the nipple area and sow it back on.
My question for anyone with experience with a situation like this is...how well does it heal? well enough to take your shirt off? my PS told me it would look like hell in the beginning, but that he said because the areola naturally has ridges it will become less noticeable anyone know?

Congrats on the surgery man. Sorry methodman can't answer your question, don't really know the answer to it.
If you have gyne, dont expect not be laughed at.

Just like if you walk into a locker room, you're gonna see some hairy asses and dicks.

Unfortunately for me, both have occured in my life way too many times.

wow....i got chilll bumps just looking at your pics....i looked so much like you...no matter what you did you knew it just wasn't suppose to look like that......

finally, after surgery it was just an umbelievable experience...walking in to a room with out having to look down and see how you were hanging, or getting up in the middle of the night to pee and see a male chest....it just was so nice to have it done.

you will also notice that you stand taller....you look thinner and that you just look more masculine....

this can be a really shitty thing to deal with...and I just  find myself sooo happy for the guys that finally get it fixed.

congrats on a very good job....hope you love you new chest!!!!!

Today is 12/19/08 and its been 9 days since my surgery. Here is two more pics on how my recovery is coming along.

As you can see, a lot of the swelling is coming down and my nipples are also recovering from the scabs and scarring that underwent from the mastopexy.

I appreciate your comments.  I had procrastinated so long to get this surgery done being that I thought working out enough would resolve the problem but it wasnt.  I post these pictures to give some type of support to anyone who would be considering this type of procedure because it really does make a huge difference in your confidence level.

Yea..I thought The same thing..Working out would Fix it..so after 3 or so months after i saw no results..id just get depressed and quit..and come back a couple of months later when got fed up of people making fun of me..And the same cycle over and over..However.. I been working out real hard lately so theres a positive to it..other than my gyno.. I really like how i look now..If i new Wha gynecomastia was id probably had the surgery done in the past..I just found out here on .org...That this was a condition..and that surgery was the only cure..Now i just cant wait to have it to have my normal life back   :D
