I had my surgery a little bit more than 3 months ago, and was initially very happy with the results. It's not that I am displeased with the results right now, because I feel that anything is better than the condition that I had before, but my left nipple appears to have a bit of a deformity/concavity to it which makes me slightly self conscious.

This is not to say that I feel as self conscious as I did originally with the full blown case of gyne, but in a new way now. If I am warm and have left my chest alone, my left nipple has a crease in it that only gets worse when I move my arms around, or lay on my side. The right nipple isn't too bad, it's a bit puffy, but I would much prefer that the left one looked like the right.

If I touch/massage my nipples or if I'm cold they will (obviously) stick out and the problems that I just described are gone.

My doctor said that the crease in my left nipple would be gone within a few months after the surgery, and that I was just supposed to massage them regularly with lotion to soften the skin up. I have been doing that almost daily since the surgery, which provides temporary relief, but if I do it before I go to bed, in the morning they're right where they were before.

I suppose he has to say that just to ease my mind, but I have a feeling that it's not going to fix itself. It seems that my chest is where it's going to be for the rest of my life.

Opinions? Questions? Comments?

What exactly was your surgery?  Lipo only or lipo/excision?

It was lipo only I'm pretty sure. The doctor and I basically agreed that there was no solid tissue that needed to be removed, but I had a lot of excess skin from having been previously fat. So I went from having large A cup man boobs to the improvement that you see above.

Also to note, I have been smoking pot entirely too much recently, which for some reason makes my chest swell up a bit, but only temporarily.

I'm not sure if there's anything the doctor can even do about it, since in order to really fix my situation, he would have to cut away a fair amount of skin, I think.

Does anyone know exactly what could/should be done? My original procedure was covered by insurance, and I'm assuming a revision would not be covered. If it's more than $1000, I don't have the money to do it.

Thanks.
