Hey doctors, a few months ago I got kenalog injections for scar tissue. About a month and a half after the injections, a patch of skin at the edge of my areola has become slightly discolored. It has now been that way for about a month and a half. Can I expect this skin to return to its normal color?

One of the risks of a Kenalog injection is changes in the pigmentation of the skin. It may re-pigment, but probably not.  I wouldn't get another injection, and for the time being, I would just monitor the area.  The return of pigmentation is a slow process, so give it some time.

I hope that helps.
