How much Kenalog? Question for Dr. Jacobs.

Hello Dr. Jacobs,
   Can you please tell me how much Kenalog in ml do you typically inject to break up a relatively small internal scar tissue? Do you use Kenalog-40?

Kenalog comes in two strengths, 10mg/cc and 40mg/cc, but it can be diluted to reach in between strengths as well.

The exact dose for any one patient depends upon the physical exam -- there are no rules.  The only precaution is to understand that kenalog is a strong medication -- best to err on the side of a lower dose.  Proper treatment requires the doctor to have lots of experience in administering this drug.
