I am gyne surgery post-op 3 1/2 months now.  Still have itching in pec area especially nipple.  Is this normal or should I be concerned about hormone levels being out of wack?  My testosterone levels are normal now that I am on Testim but have never had estrogen levels checked.  Thanks for your advice.

I have found itching to various degrees is common after surgery. The time to resolution is highly variable with a very broad range.

I have also seen patients with itching of varying degrees, which resolves eventually.  No real significance that I'm aware of.

Agree with my colleagues.  No real treatment for the itching -- it probably reflects the fact that healing is proceeding rather than the re-growth of breast tissue (which I believe is what you fear).
