How much time per day do you recommend patients perform massage? I assume things like pain, increased swelling or bruising would be indicative of overdoing it. Aside from that, is it possible to do too much? Is more better? (I'm almost 6 weeks post-op plus left sided hematoma that is gradually resolving)

Thanks!

I don't really think you can overdo it with massage, since your hand would probably fatigue before a point that could be consider a problem.  I usually suggest a few minutes at a time, 5 or 6 times a day. Check with your surgeon.
