On post op day 3 I had hematoma romoves by incision and squeezed out. I now have hard lumps in that area along with swelling appearance from the lumps themselves. My question is how long before these lumps go away? Or dissolve ? Can I do anything to aid this healing process such as icing or warm pads ?

Good questions that your surgeon should be able to help you with. Heat and massage would probably help after being cleared by your surgeon. It will take a bout three months for any lumps to resolve. Be patient.

Residual blood in the tissue after a hematoma will cause hardness and lumpiness, which takes weeks to resolve.  During that process of resolution, it's possible to develop a small collection of fluid (seroma) as well.  If such a fluid collection occurs, it may require drainage through a needle, so it's good to see your surgeon if there are concerns.
