I had gynecomastia surgery about 45days ago. This "scab" still remains. The other side has healed. It's only connected by this yellow/white substance. Is this normal and what is this under the scab?

Maybe a question for "Ask a doctor"

I was in a motorcycle accident and had my left leg cut open. When they stitched it up there was a tube for drainage. When the tube came out it left a hole that was filled in by a big, thick black scab just like yours. The stuff underneath was scar tissue filling things in. When it finally came off I was left with a scar an inch in diameter. It's numb, no hair grows from it and it the area around it itches when I get a sun tan or burn.

btw - congratulations on the surgery! How do you feel? It's my turn in 31 days. :)

Maybe it's a nipple trying to grow back?
If the bra fits, wear it.

Eventually the dark tissue will fall off leaving scarred tissue underneath.  You should then consult with your surgeon about possible reconstructive options.
